Chandler Garza, MA Clinical Mental Health, LPC-Associate

I always strive to create a counseling environment that is accepting, challenging, and conducive for change. Counseling is a process that is so unique for each individual. I feel passionate about understanding what each person’s journey has been, and how counseling will interact with their needs and goals. Working with my clients and seeing their hard work become positive change is incredibly special to me. I feel my talents are especially useful when working with adolescents, young adults, and couples. I have experience working with a variety of issues, such as mood disorders, trauma, grief, LGBTQ+, changes in life, and relationship problems. I utilize techniques that help clients understand how thoughts and feelings influence behaviors. I also apply tools that emphasize personal responsibility, and that focus on the individual's emotional experience in the present moment. Another emphasis surrounds the environmental and social contexts of a person's life, and the self-regulating adjustments people make as a result their overall situation. This approach allows me to provide a treatment plan that is tailored to the client’s individual needs.
