I firmly believe that every client is unique, has their own path they are traveling, and are experts in their own lives. As such, I strive to create a working atmosphere that encourages open collaboration, problem-solving, and acceptance. Going as far back as high school, when I led my first pre-teen group at an open and affirming church youth conference, I knew my heart yearned to enter a helping profession. I love working with various clientele to problem-solve and make positive changes to improve their situations and lives. While I do list several “specialties” below, these are just examples of different client situations I have had experience working with in the past thus far.
Specialties and Experience: Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Behavioral Issues, Mood Disorders, Trauma, Interrelational Issues, Changes in Life Issues, Work-Life Balance Issues, Substance Use/Abuse Issues, Co-Parenting, Youth Services, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Chronic Pain, Grief
Age Groups: children*, adolescents, adults
*I have worked with children as young as six and welcome any child either old or mature enough to hold a conversation. When counseling children, parent involvement is necessary to resolve issues that affect the child. Although there are some exceptions, those are assessed as well.
